A 1000 years ago the Humans of Mid-gart were entrenched in a 100 year war with the Demons. Hardships on both sides would eventually garner a fragile truce with the scourge of the Underworld.
Peace unfortunately proved more delicate than imagined. 40 years to the day Valkyrie Randgris would steal the Cursed Stone from the Underworld and wreak havoc on the human world. The flames of terror feasted on mankind and with it the despair of Mid-gart grew. But a being from the Celestial Land of Valhalla named Monica defeated the vengeful Valkyrie and sealed her away forever.
The world thus found peace once again. Many had hoped they would never have to fear her reign, but a mysterious woman would be Mid-gart’s undoing. She broke the seal, releasing Valkyrie Randgris and her Cursed Stone from their prison, and vanished. Leaving the world cast into darkness.
Mid-Gart finds itself once more trapped in the grip of terror waiting for a new hero to heed the call.
